Earthy neighbors getting it on, otherwise quiet surroundings, and a tale of two thongs:

I lived here for about 6 months and have to say that it was pretty good. When I moved in, I had a bug problem due to a small hole in the door frame, but it was fixed pretty quickly. My rent was really reasonable, and the remodel was nice. Someone lived there for 6 months before I did, and didn't take good care of it, but the apt office did a satisfactory job fixing it up (not super, but ok).

Problems I had included a noisy AC unit (from 1945) that was a pest, and had a funky garlic cooking smell coming from the weird hippie woman who lived above me. Oh yeah, the nasty earthy people next door kept having very loud sex (in their living room) also. You wouldn't think that is that bad... until you saw these people. Good Lord, just thinking about that right now makes me want to vommit. Also, they did it everyday at like 4pm...Do you people have freaking jobs'!!

The complex is old, but the pool is nice. Not usually too crowded during the day if you are a student. If you ARE a student, this is a really quiet complex, but not the best place to meet people. Lots of older people, but nice and quiet.

I wish they had W/D option for the apt I was in, but could live with that. I hate doing coin-op laundry. However, I never really had problems with already full washers. Overall, this was an average place with good dollar value. I had the largest 1bd unit they offer, which is also worked well with entertaining. So to recap, good dollar value, but nasty earthy people might be having loud sex next door. But hey, it's Austin, I guess you gotta deal with stuff like that.

Oh yeah, you might wonder about the previously mentionted thongs. Some how a pink thong ended up in my laundry one night. I thought, oh maybe it was accidentally left by the girl who was in there earlier.... until another pair ended up in my laundry two weeks later. Never saw the girl again, but she WAS about 40 years under the age of 65. Do the math.

So, if you take anything away from this post, please think of that, and NOT about the nasty earthy people sex, because that's just plain gross.
