Well, the mice seemed to like it!

Renters Beware: Do not move to this complex! Save yourself the agony.
At the time I moved in, the apartments had been recently renovated. They seemed nice enough and the price was right. Management was great at the time. I liked how close the complex was to downtown. Being on the UT shuttle route was also a plus.
My problems started in mid July when my AC stopped cooling. Instead of replacing the unit altogether, management (all new staff) chose to continually charge it with freon. It never lasted more than a couple of days. Plus, if it so happened that the unit broke down on a Friday, I was SOL until Monday or Tuesday. There was no on-site maintenance at the time.
Bottom line: it took a month's worth of calls between the corporate office and Austin Tenant's Council to have my unit replaced.
Other reviewers have summed up the neighborhood all too well. Very noisy. Loaded to the hilt with shady characters.
Now about the mice: They started showing up around November. Staff solution' Lay down 4 glue traps and forget about it. And yes, I was the one who had to throw out the traps when they became...um...'full'.
So, the moral to this story' Do research about a complex before you move in. Ask questions. If you can afford the time, contact an apartment locator. They're a great source of info. Do your homework so you don't end up living in a dump!
