Great place for the money, if you get good neighbors

I lived here for 6 months, until January when I moved for a new job. The ladies in the front office always recognized me and were friendly. They worked with me when I wanted to foster dogs for a rescue group, and allowed me to pay the pet deposit in installments. The apartment was not perfect (cold water ran hot, sliding door wouldn't lock), but maintenance always showed up to fix my problems within 24 hours, even on the weekends.
The walls are a little thin, I could hear my neighbors when they blasted music. Also, if they smoked inside (which they were not supposed to do) I sometimes smelled it. But I did not smell people cooking, or hear anything when it was at a decent level. My car was never broken into, I did not have a bug problem, and as a single female college student I felt safe walking to my car at night. I walked my foster dogs around at night all the time with no problem.
When I got a job offer out of state, they helped me get out of my lease with only a $250 charge and no bad rental record. Overall, I liked the place and I'd live there again if I were still in Austin! 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C
