I love it here! Granted, I'm not a fan of the area - Riverside/Southeast Austin doesn't have the greatest reputation, but I chose to move down here for the cheap rent, so I can't exactly complain about the neighborhood. I made the decision to move. However, there has been no crime in the complex.. it's somewhat set back from Riverside.
My boyfriend and I pay $690 for a two bedroom, 825 sqft, and we love it. It's by no means a luxury apartment, but it's well put together, and you can't beat that price. Nothing's falling apart. The grounds of the complex are well maintained.. not divey or scummy looking at all, but noticably older. The management is great. Jessica's really nice, and everytime we've put in a maintenance request, it's been taken care of within 24 hours, and done correctly. Also, utilities are paid for - all we pay is electric, which is >100 a month. Our application fees and move-in deposits were waived when we moved in as well, due to my boyfriend's standing as a student.
There's TONS of parking available. As for the neighbors, I never hear anything through any of our walls.. literally, not once have I heard anything, and we've been here six months. The only noise we've heard has been the plumbing.. when a neighbor turns on the shower, we hear it in our bathroom/bedroom, which can be a nuisance early in the morning.
My only other complaint is the shower.. it turns hot to cold randomly throughout the span of a shower, even if it's only for five minutes.
Lastly, their pet policy is great. The office loves our dog, which we adopted a couple months after moving in. He's 80lbs, and they love him. Jessica asks to see him whenever we're out walking, and they invite us into the lobby.
