I moved into Lantana as my first apartment in Austin. It seemed like it was a good location and really cool lay out. But we had a lot of problems when I lived there.

I lived with 3 guys (my fiance and I shared a room) in a 3/2 (apt 226) it faced the street. My bedroom was facing the pool and I never got good sleep. First of all, it was always loud and always messy. People had parties all the time and if I didn't live there it would have been cool.

We had a lot of problems in the apartment. The air conditioning runs backwards so it powered our living room last, so it took forever to get it cold and cost a lot of money to keep it on. We had our a/c leaking and it made our entire apartment smell like mildew. We also had rodent problems, we had two mice, one of which we actually caught and released.

My car and my roommates cars were both broken into. They stole my photography camera and broke the window, and stole my roommates entire cd player. We reported it to the management but they did nothing. I also had issues with car permits. The parking was horrible, I could never find a spot.

There were four of us living in one apartment and therefore you would think we would be allowed to have 4 parking passes. However, we only had two and when I got a new car I wanted a new pass. They told me that I couldn't have a new pass unless I gave back the sticker on my old car. I told them no because it was my fiances car and he still needed it. So they gave us a temporary pass to park there with. One day we went down to get into our car and it was towed. After that they FINALLY gave us another pass.

The one great thing about Lantana is the pool area. I spent a lot of great summer days and nights out there with friends and I haven't found a pool area as cool yet.

Did you ever think that you shouldn't have left your photography camera in your car???
