OMG OMG OMG!
I really wish I looked at the reviews before purchasing! This apartment
SUCKS!
Cons:
-There has been a lot of break ins with cars, I haven't had any, THANK GOODNESS, but have heard from a lot of people about car theft and breaking into!
-We had a mouse in our kitchen the first month we moved in! We have NO idea how it got in! it later died bc maintence put a trap and when it died, it left a horrible stench!
-COCKROACHES!!!!!!!!! There are so many! In the summer, you'll see about 10 a month but in the winter, you can see one or so. But it is disgusting! In the past 4 apartments I have lived in, I HAVE NEVER EVER had to deal with insects and rodents! Lantana comes and sprays for pesticide, but it doesn't help! I don't know where they come from, maybe from outside or from the walls or vents'
-The lights in the room are horrible! They are so dim and there are no lights in the living room, you need to provide your own.
-The AC does not cool/heat the whole living and kitchen. It takes a long time for it to process throughout the rooms, but in your own rooms, it works pretty well..
-Well depending on the location of where you are, if you don't mind parties and hearing people from outside or hearing loud music playing till 4a.m. then i guess it can be a pro, but I had people above me play loud bass and music till 3 a.m. and sometimes 5 a.m. and then the people on the side of us play the guitar and drums so basically the walls at Lantana are not so thick!
-The windows are weird' They are not even windows, they are slidedoors and we didn't have a screen so we could never open them and when we requested to have a screen door, they told us because they are old, they don't make anymore.
-There have been people who are homeless digging inside the dumpster outside late at night and sometimes early in the morning.
-No laundry inside, but there is a laundry offsite, but I went there and saw a dead cockroach and other insects so I have never ever used it! It's so dirty in there! They need to clean it!
PROS:
-Maintenance does come quickly
-Appliances are old, but what do you expect from west campus' The oven is gas-stove so it's pretty good.
-Parking isn't that bad to find
-There is a swimming pool outside in the courtyard
That's all I can think of, I have been counting the days till I move out of here! We pay $625 a month for 2/2 and I don't think it's worth it at all!
