The changing spring weather has brought in numerous cockroaches, and we probably see a living or dead one each day for the past 2 weeks or so. The apartment has said that they sent out pest control, but I haven't seen a difference. I've also had a small frog come into my room while I was studying and although this was the first time that we had ever had frogs, I'm still very upset. Also, the previous summer when we first moved in, we had a mouse problem which was handled effectively by the maintenance though. If you have a dog or cat that will take care of these problems, then maybe you don't have worry about these problems.
As for everything else, the apartment is just okay. We pay for everything. NO free utilities, internet, cable, or water. Laundry is a shady and dirty basement. Maintenance usually responds fairly quickly. The rooms are decent sized. Nice closet space. Great gas burners in the kitchen. Kitchen has decent cupboard space. Drawers and cabinets are a bit unaligned. Overall very poor lighting, especially in the living room. Parking can be very difficult (tight parking lot and parallel parking near the wall). Noise is minimal except for the occasional pool party. Walls are thin and you can hear everything the person outside says. Packages are sometimes stolen from your door step. A lot of sliding doors and some don't have the netted frame. Cracks under our door that were never completely fixed ( the hinge of the door is unaligned). Air conditioning is more powerful toward the bedrooms and doesn't cool the living room.
