Love where I live..

I looked for a very long time for a place to live, and one visit to Laurel Woods and I was ready to sign a lease. The office staff is very polite and always cheerful. The maintenance crew is extremely fast, particularly when it's something like a loose shower knob or a running toilet. The office staff called me at one point to apologize for the broken shower knob (that made me unable to shower in the morning) and to let me know that it would be replaced within an hour.
The prices have gone up since I moved in a year and a half ago, but they are still competitive, particularly this far north. The grounds are always neat and clean and there is plenty of parking. I live in one of the interior apartments and I can count on one hand how many times I've had to park a distance away.
The people who live here have been nothing but wonderful. From my downstairs neighbor to a woman with one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen.
The kitchen, yes, is a bit dated, but as the old stoves, microwaves, and dishwashers break, they are replacing them. As for mine.. they may be old but they still work!
The floorplans are spacious, with plenty of floorspace to put furniture, and even maybe add a bit more. As another tenant noted, water is a $15 flat rate! The electricity bills can get a bit high, particularly in the heat of summer and the dead of winter, but nothing outrageous.
You would think being close to 183 that you would hear the traffic, but even standing in the parkinglot, you barely hear it. The walls are thick enough that you don't hear your neighbor's TV, or conversations, or much of anything for that matter.
I love living here, and after hearing all the horror stories from other friends, I'm so glad that I jumped on this opening when I did.
