I don't have time to write a thorough review of my experience at Le Montreaux for the past 15 months.

My bad experience started when I was billed for $450 for a "2 week late" rent that was NOT LATE. I have never paid rent late. I couldn't believe what they were telling me and after the office was unable to provide proof that I had paid rent late, I told them that it was probably their mistake.

Never the less, they did not back down and started putting an eviction notice on my door once a week for 2 months (with an added $50 charge for a posting fee). I told them I was not going to pay it and I'd see them in court.

Eventually, they gave up and said, "We are willing to accept $100 instead of $450."

I can't write what I was thinking at that point, but to avoid any more headache and embarrassing notices, I paid up.

Now I'm 15 days from the end of my lease (thank god), and they put a notice on my door saying that they did not receive my 60-day notice that I'd be moving out. LIE!

I personally went down to the office about 50 days ago and signed my 60day move out notice. So now I'm preparing for another battle over my deposit and most likely, some exorbitantly high move out fees.

Do yourself a favor, do not become a tenant of Le Montreaux.

If you move here with all these TRUE comments, it is your own fault. I live here now, have 8 months left on my lease and cannot WAIT to get out of here. The only way to pay rent on time is to give them post-dated checks to keep in the safe and pray that they do their jobs. I could go on and on about this place, but if I told the truth, my comment would be removed. Just think of every curse word in the book and I could apply every single one of them to this place. Le Montreux is better off leveled and the management in the unemployment line.
