We were about to move in to these apartments sight unseen (we were moving to Austin from Oklahoma), but when we got there, even though they had about four months notice that we were moving in, our apartment was not ready at all. There were ceiling fans on the floor, no refrigerator, the stove was in the middle of the living room, there were no shower heads, and there were holes in the walls. And the grounds were just dirty! The pool was a dark green color, and the dumpsters were massively overflowing (not to mention that in the middle of August there was a GIANT rotting snake left there by the dumpsters for everyone to see and for the garbage men to deal with). We left the same morning to find an acceptable apartment, but needless to say, we didn't get our deposit back, even though our place wasn't even ready for us to move in.
