Wonderful, if you want to be reminded of a third world country

I made the mistake of moving in when I was a student with no car who didn't want to pay Far West prices anymore.

The management pays your bills so they turned off the AC from Oct-May which doesn't really work in a constantly changing climate like Austin. The heater however, could be turned on full-blast through these months. (Isn't it ingenious!) I was pregnant and hot as hell. Not helping matters were the fraternity houses in the vicinity with non-stop parties that you can't sleep through when you have to keep the windows open at all times.

Our bathtub started leaking into the bedroom and I got scared that I might miscarry with the mold growing and what not.

We got charged for carpet when we left although upon move-in it was in terrible shape.

Allowing your friends to come and visit you (hopefully they're very brave) is a no-no unless your totally aware of the tow-away enforcement. I had a dinner party and my friend ended up paying $130 to get her car back after they towed it within 30 minutes of her arrival.

Best of all, you can be sure that you will never want to cook while you live here, unless you want to invite the roaches to eat with you. When we moved out they were infested in our pantry and I couldn't use the stove without one hobbling up there to check things out. Of course, with management like this there is little that can be done. One guy was having a serious flea problem and the wonderful office acted like there was nothing they could do.

All in all, a wonderful experience for those who love third world charm but you might as well be roughing it in Ethiopia. Perhaps less cockroaches, and certainly cheaper rent!
