I have lived at 10 different apartment complexes, and Berkshire Hills was definitely the worst. We chose it b/c it was on the shuttle and affordable while my husband goes to UT. The model we saw also was the cleanest of the other comparable apartments in the area. However, on our move-in day(2 weeks earlier than we wanted b/c they wouldn't hold an apartment for us)our place was filthy. It was so bad that we didn't even leave the stuff we brought there or spend the night. It was disgusting. We told management about this, and they said they'd work on it again. Two weeks later we came back, and it was only slightly better. They refused to refund us for the previous two weeks even though it was uninhabitable. During the rest of our lease we were subjected to massive amounts of dog doo everywhere. Also both my husband and I had our cars broken into. (This had never happened to me before.) Every time we left town we were worried our place would be broken into. We hated living there and are so glad to be gone. Of course upon leaving we didn't receive our full deposit back. That shocked me b/c our place wasn't clean in the first place. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting, but you get the idea. Stay away!
