Awful

I have been without water for the past five days due to an on property pipe bursting. Did I get a notice the first day that this occurred that I would be without water' No! Second, third, fourth or fifth day' Nope! I had to call the management office and speak to someone (not the manager) who informed me that this is something "we have all been dealing with". Well, that's great, I'm glad we're all in this together except of course those people that don't have a place to go to shower or wash their clothing because they are new to the area or don't have anyone to help them in these situations. I asked about compensation in the form of rent reduction for next month and he said that he didn't think that was going to happen but that I am welcome to write up a complaint and inform them of any compensation I think I might be entitled to... I'm sure I'll see that compensation check real soon. When I asked why it took so long for them to get someone out to fix the problem (that is actually still going on) he said the manager had been away and that they couldn't find any plumbers due to it being the holidays. What that translates to is they couldn't find anyone to come out as cheap as they wanted and decided to wait until the holidays were over and the rates would be lower. Never mind you have an entire apartment complex without water and that these people pay your salary and deserve to live in decent conditions, make them wait until the holidays are over to fix the problem. Who needs water anyway' This is the fourth time in the last 8 months that this complex has been without water because of faulty pipes (though this is certainly the longest I?ve had to go). Probably the most inexcusable part of all of this is that for the past five days that pipe has continued to pour water out all over the parking lot and not once has anyone in management thought to have the water turned off to the pipe. I cannot wait until my lease is up! I am tired of living in a place that in addition to the water problems also has a noise and management problem. The ?maintenance people? wouldn?t change a light bulb unless they had written instructions and the bulbs were on sale. Overall ths place is not worth your hard earned money.
