I moved into the apartment complex because a very nice woman was working there at the time. She quit the week after i moved in. From the beginning, there were problems. The air conditioner didn't work, my roommate's toilet started shooting water, and the 24-hour maintenance told us they could not handle the problem because the main guy was out of town. When they did fix it, the toilet had ran for a whole night before we figured out how to turn off the toilet itself. It took them two days to get someone to fix it. The air conditioner was fixed after three days, and it was the middle of summer; August to be exact. Then thats when the water problems started. My water was turned off at least once a week for about three months for 1, 2, or even 12 hours at a time. There was no advanced warning and when the office was called to ask when it would be turned back on all they would say is, "Look it's a problem we are all dealing with". They office staff is very rude. When i called the guy and told him my car was broken into the first time, he asked me if I was sure. When i told him, "Well the window was broken with a brick," he said, well thats what happens when you live on Riverside. Well, it happened twice more, and each time I reported it they promised to get more security for the night time. HA, that never happened.
i was also slapped with over 800 dollars worth of move out fees because i did not do a walk through at the end of the lease. They charged me for a new carpet because they claimed water damage, which came from the toilet overflowing. They also "lost" my roommates pet deposit and pet rent that he paid well over 700 dollars into. overall, the experence of living there wasn't worth it. i wish i would have had more time to look then moving into the First nice place on Riverside. There are better cheaper places just a couple of blocks away!
