Whatever you do, do NOT live by the pool!!! People do Late night PARTYING out there SEVERAL times a week into the early morning hours!!! The POOL GATES are extremely NOISY too. The pool area closes at 10pm but I am regularly awakened by people out there past 2am and sometimes as late as 5am. I expressed my concerns with the Lincoln Oaks staff and property management company, but they both said that this sort of activity is normal when living by the pool and basically insinuated that I got what I asked for when I requested a unit near the pool. Their only suggested remedy was that I call the police when this happens, which happens to be like every other day. It amazes me that there is No Security or after hours Manager. This is absurd. I've already called the police as much as three times a week and it still continues. In fact, just a few days ago a FIGHT broke out by the pool on a Tuesday night around 12am, with glasses shattering, screams and all. The complex refuses to send out warning notices to all of the tenants about this unacceptable behavior, but I some how managed to get an invitation to a lame pool party sponsored by the complex.

The GATES that surround the pool area are extremely noisy as well. They are so Needlessly noisy and disturbing that I can hear them clearly with my windows shut and over the volume of my T.V. They slam shut constantly at all times of the night.

I can't really say what it's like to live elsewhere in the complex, but I'm sure the same lax management style prevails their too.

You are completely right. That is the reason why I left. New renters should seriously think about this before deciding to move in.

Well ya know it doesn't take an idiot to know that at any apartment complex you live at, never live by the pool!! duh!!

You are totally missing the point. Duh!! I expected that living by the pool would be "noisy" during (10am-10pm) and maybe even (12am - 1am) on weekends. However, I didn't bargain for (10pm-2am) weeknight parties to go unchecked. Most normal people have to get up early for work Monday through Friday. I wasn't prepared for the management to not enforce its own rules, ignore the problem, and leave their problem for the Austin Police Department to clean up(the police have better things to do). Besides, I've seen other complexes enforce their pool rules and have quieter gates. Why can't Lincoln Oaks? I guess the rule breakers have priority over those who abide by the rules!!!
