I moved into Lincoln Ridge with my boyfriend, he found it for us and signed the lease before I had seen it.

The area is very unsafe, there is a gate that works sometimes but is completely inpractical as you can just wait and follow the car in front of you or wait until someone leaves. Also there is a big hole in the fence between the complex and the gas station. There are ALWAYS homeless people gathering at the gas station. I have walked over near the fence where the hole is, it smells of urine. Also this gate system shows everyones full name, apt. number and phone number, if you scroll through it. That certainly doesn't make me feel safe.

The staff is the most incompetant that I have ever dealt with. In the year I lived there the monthly bill of rental due was NEVER correct. The bill always said we owed about $200 more than we did. We would go into the office to ask about the discrepency when someone finally would get to us they would say sorry our mistake. But the next month the same mistake would be there. I wonder how many tenants here have overpaid without not even knowing it.

Our air conditioner has never worked right, instead of fixing it they would only add freon, as the leak became worse our electric bill skyrocketed but it only blew luke warm air.
The final straw was after 10 months of living there, never once being a day late on rent. I had a seizure, being an epileptic. I called the office on the 3rd of the month and told them I was hospitalized and would be late with the rent. I was told no problem, hope you feel better etc... I came home late on the 6th day of the month. On the 7th day early in the morning, we were awaked by the Apt manager, she had an eviction notice for us!! We explained the situation she was the nastiest human I have ever had to deal with. My boyfriend and I are both college educated, intelligent people. She would not even listen to us. She said we had 48 hours to vacate the premises. I had another seizure a few hours after, I am sure due in part to the stress. My boyfriend went and paid 3 times our monthly rent in late fees. He stayed out the lease, I moved out of the "ghetto" into a wonderful apartment in Hyde Park.
