I moved to Austin from out of state, and therefore didn't know that this apartment complex was actually in a high crime area, as the grounds are quite pretty.

It wasn't long before I noticed groups of thugs hanging around all day and night, dealt with constantly loud neighbors, and had my aparment broken into and robbed while I was away. (Probably by the drug dealer that lived across the hall from me.) My complaints about the activities of the drug dealer were ignored by management until one day he was mysteriously gone. However, it was a few weeks before they powerwashed away the bloodstain left on the walkway.

Security in this place is a joke. When I was robbed and upset about it, management told me that I should have called the police before moving in to ask about the crime rates in the neighborhood. Touche.

It may be cheaper than some of the newer complexes in the area, but it's not worth it!
