I would strongly discourage people from moving into The Lodge at Stone Oak Ranch! I am in the middle of a battle w/ a collection agency due to The Lodge that will affect my EXCELLENT credit score and PERFECT renters history. When I moved in they promised me new carpet yet when I arrived with the movers the carpet was still wet from steam cleaning. The apartment was not move-in ready...I was without shower curtain rods in both bathrooms for nearly 2 weeks and the patio was covered in mud and dirt dobber nests. When I contacted the office about this, they said that they would have the patio power-washed, that this is something that should have been done before I moved in but their maintenance crew were short-staffed. After calling them three times about the patio, I finally gave up on them ever cleaning it. The apartment was infested with silver fish that ate holes in my clothes and linens. They exterminated 3 times but were unable to get rid of them. The so-called Management and Leasing Agents are very young, inexperienced and unprofessional. I filed a complaint with the management against one of the leasing agents after walking into the office to place a work order. He said to me "Not you again, are you ever going to be happy and stop nit-picking over everything'''" In my opinion this was very unprofessional. I lived there for 6 months and after my lease was up I moved out. Now a year later, I am battling them over bogus charges. They are charging me for a pet I never had $150 (they state that someone in the office saw me once walking a pet), 4 stove drip pans $12 a piece (I didn't even know what a drip pan was until I looked it up on the internet-I didn't remove them), $40 to powerwash the patio (this should have been done before I moved in), $10 to remove one nail I left behind, $75 cleaning (I cleaned the entire apartment before moving out), $50 to remove stain on carpet (stain was there when I moved in), etc. Total they say I owe close to $400.00. They did not deduct the $100 deposit I paid at time of move-in from the charges. My refusal to pay is costing me but I can not bring myself to pay for something I didn't do. PLEASE, ANYONE CURRENTLY LIVING AT THE LODGE, KEEP COPIES OF ALL WORK ORDERS YOU PUT IN. IF MOVING OUT OF THE LODGE, SCHEDULE A WALK-THRU WITH THE MANAGER, THIS IS FOR YOUR PROTECTION AND IS SOMETHING I WISH I WOULD HAVE DONE WHEN I MOVED OUT!!! PEOPLE LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE TO LIVE, STAY AWAY FROM THE LODGE, IT WOULD BE IN YOUR BEST INTEREST!!!
