The location and floor plan are fantastic. As for every other aspect of the community, well take my experience to heart. We where told that the unit we where moving into would have a fireplace instead of a computer area since it would be on the third floor and where told that there would be a two windows in the bedroom instead of one. Of course there was not a model of that available to view but they seemed reputable so i went with it. Naturally when I moved in that was not the case. The apartment did not include those amenities. A quick call to the property manager confirmed that not only would I not be getting those things, but that if I wanted them that badly then I would need to put down a new deposit and also pay them a 200 dollar fee and an additional 200 dollars a month rent. So they lied and I took them at their word and then by the time I found out that they where lying, I was already in contract and there was nothing I could do about it since they did not lie in writing. Keep in mind this was literally minutes after I moved into the apartment. So my experience right from the start was terrible and it did not get any better. Right after that initial call, I tested the appliances. To my dismay the garbage disposal was out. This would become a common occurrence as it has now been a year and we had maintenance in our apartment to fix this as well as many other leaks and issues with the pipes under the kitchen sink over 10 times. And it has yet to be fixed. The AC unit barely worked and finally went out completely a month before the lease was up. In the summer in Texas. The front gates of the apartment worked for a whole 2 weeks in the year I lived there. Dont trust other tenants to not run over your kids either since there are no speed bumps or speed restrictions enforced. Visiting the pool is a nightmare. They claim the pool is open until 10 PM but noone monitors this and they do not enforce it. That results in me seeing several underage people there drinking and breaking glass bottles on the ground. The entire pool area is dirty and covered in cigarette butts and I hope you are not a fan of hot tubs since the one at the lodge has never worked. I also hope you are content with office staff talking down to you and interrupting you frequently when you attempt to talk to them. I lost my temper after an interaction like that and was then hung up on. I called back and although I was not yelling or using profanity, was still told I was yelling and then interrupted when I tried to say everything without yelling. I am pretty convinced that the current property manager could not manage her way out of her own under garments and yet she is trusted with YOUR money, time, and home. We gave verbal confirmation that we would not renew our lease 4 months in advance as well as 30 days in advance. The office staff said that was fine and we where on our way. Then two days after moving we are told that verbal confirmation is not accepted and that we now owe them 2000 dollars. I cannot and will not give those crooked liars another penny of my hard earned money and you shouldn't either. And if anyone is up for a class action lawsuit or has any advice for me in these matters, please let me know at cramstroker@me.com.

And P.S. To the reviewer below, How exactly would you know what my lease states' I take it you are an employee there and possibly the manager. If so, I should then let you know that I have since contacted the better business bureau as well as the Austin Apartment Association. Next week further action will be taken as well.

Kudos to you, Anonymous for stating the truth. The office staff should be held responsible for accepting verbal agreements instead of telling the residents that they need it in writing. Management - TRAIN YOUR STAFFERS AND YOURSELF IN A LITTLE BIT OF COMMON SENSE AND COURTESY!!!!

Your lease contract states that a notice to vacate must be in writing. If you were truly concerned about your treatment while you stayed at the Lodge, you would have read your lease contract. If, as you say, you received the wrong apartment at move-in, why would you not then read your lease contract to ensure that you were not, again, a victim of a verbal agreement? Verbal agreements are obviously not legal, since they contain no proof. Use your head next time.

Thanks for your slightly arrogant opinion. Yes I know this now but by the time we where in the apartment it was already too late which I stated above. So yes, me not asking a company to act with integrity was a mistake on my part that I know I made a year ago. I did read the lease after that happened and obviously there was nothing I could do at that point. "Using my head" is not necessarily the issue as you stated because by the time I knew I was screwed, I could not do anything about it. I am trying to protect others from making the same mistake as me. There is no reason to be an ass about it.

Sounds almost exactly like my own experience, and I've only been here for 6 weeks. I've started a complaint process with Trivest but so far I've gotten two 'out of office' replies and been forwarded to voicemails of random people..
