Because the entire complex is served by a SINGLE "trash compactor", that can only be run by apartment staff. Every day the trash pile is out to the street.

This is absolutely the most disgusting trash situation I have ever encountered. I thank God I did not rent within 2 buildings of the compactor.

Management - get a clue - and install multiple trash cans (like every other apartment complex in the city). Perhaps you like living like pigs, but your renters do not.

Because the apartment management company cannot legally allow residents to operate a compactor AND maintain site insurance: common sense. Because one container costs $3,500 a MONTH, they are keeping YOUR costs LOW. It is apparent from this complaint that it isn't the management company that likes to live like pigs, it's the residents that don't obey the rules and allow the refuse to pile up. RECYCLE MORE!

And "recycle more"? Are you kidding? I lived there for four years and the recycle bins were crammed into a small space next to the trash compactor where you could not reach them unless you squeezed by several dirty bins, brushing up against the trash that piled up outside of the compactor. I asked management to move those recycle bins where residents could actually reach them, and they said there was no way to do that. Yet somehow every other apt complex I have ever been to had their recycle bins in easy reach AND never had trash piled up. And btw, $3500 a month is easily covered by the rent from about four or five residents, and there are hundreds of apartments there. If you can't squeeze out another 3500 from your budget, you've got worse problems than trash piling up.

I heard the management was working on some great things for the residents. My suggestion to you is to talk to the manager instead of posting this stuff here on a web site they probably do not even use.

I've heard the same promises! Amazing promises about how great things are going to be! In fact, I bet you are the person that made them! But - woops - none of those promises have actually been fulfilled. Do everyone a favor - fix the trash scene, fix the gates, water the grounds. Thats the quickest way to get your residents to trust you again. I can guarantee you, if you cannot do these simple things, then these same requests will go to your replacement. In the meantime, you are right - this website is not popular enough. I think I will post this link all over the complex. Perhaps we can even pass out the link to new potential residents, so that they can read up on your amazing promises! Great idea . . . .
