Regrettably Renewed

I was actually here for 9 months before I realized how awful this place was. Within the past few months they have managed to go from a decent place to live, thus causing me to renew, to dealing with a bunch of lying, manipulative, incompetent staffers who want nothing more than your hard earned dollars.
The reason I actually even came here in the first place is because my apartment was broken into in the middle of the night at my last place. My first visit here I was assured the broken gates had just been struck by lightning so they were in the process of talking to contractors and getting the best estimate and it would be handled within the next two weeks. So after hearing that, I felt safe because that was my number one necessity...my safety. After 2 months of the gate not working, I finally had to call. Now, I can't exactly remember the name of the Gentleman I spoke to, but how could I' The front desk employees change every two weeks, except for the guys right now, unfortunately. Anyhow, since the girl I was working before with was no longer employed there, the nice gentleman on the phone kindly lied to me and said that the contract was just on hold, waiting for a signature from the "higher ups" or something.
I waited for another 2 months and went in. Since these guys are usually goofing off anyway, I quickly just came in and addressed the situation. Unfortunately, on the day I finally had time to get there in time (they close 5 minutes to 6pm) their gates were ACTUALLY working!! Hooray, after 4 months I know that the gate has the capabilities of moving back and forth!! So since they were actually working on this ONE day the guy acted as if everything was okay now because the gate has worked once in a 4 month period. However, I decided to give them a shot once again and see if it was actually fixed. Sure enough, it broke a week later and has been broken ever since. Until recently when the news covered our apartments and the high level of break ins that have occurred. All it takes is media whoring I guess, at least now we feel as if our safety is important to them.
All in all, I have been lied to about lease terms and several other issues, treated like I am ignorant and insignificant human being, not to mention their breach of contract concerning their gym/family area.
I DO NOT suggest this place to anyone, it does look nice, and they are nice to you before you sign the lease, but don't expect much more. It has not been worth my time or money. Unfortunately, since I've been lied to about my lease, I still have some time left, I just want to warn any others who may be thinking about it. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
