Well, I live at College Park right now and I have to say it hasn't been to bad for me... of course, I'm one of the few people that bugs the heck out of them until they get things done. For instance, the first day I moved in, my hot water heater went out. Since my parents were still around helping me get things settled, my dad called them and they came out right away and fixed it. We thought that would be the end of it, but the water heater kept going out. My dad told me to keep a record of everytime it went out and of everytime I called them to come and fix it. On one of the visits, the maintenance man told me that the water heater was too old and would have to be replaced. He told me he would put in a work order for it. Well, if he did, they ignored it. I had to take a shower at Gregory multiple times for lack of hot water at my apartment. I kept calling them and telling them it was goin out and that it needed to be replaced, and still, nothing was done. I was getting extremely upset. My dad knew about the situation the whole time and he finally decided enough was enough. I e-mailed him the record I was keeping of the outages and calls, and HE called the management. He told that that if they didn't take care of this SOON, he would take them to a claims court for breaking their lease. Needless to say, they came out and replaced it the next day. So if you decide to move here, just be aware that you HAVE to put you foot down with them and having a parent get involved, especially a pissed parent, is a major plus. Other than that I haven't really had a bad experience here... but ask me again after I move out and if I got my deposit back...
