Apartment ok...Roommates horrible From: DandKmom Date posted: 8/8/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006 1 response My daughter lived at Longhorn Landing for 9 months. No major complaints about the apartment accept the people they let live with her. The management does NOTHING about disputes between roommates. My daughter's first roommate smoked too much meth and stabbed my daughter's best friend. The management was kind enough to transfer my daughter to another apartment without charging me. I asked if a background check was done on residents and was told that there was. That was either a lie or they will let anyone fresh out of prison move in to the complex. The next roommate left fecies on the toilet, ate my daughter's food, left dishes in the sink until mold grew on them, locked my daughter out of the apartment while she had sex with her boyfriend and never help pay for electricity. The apartments have dead-bolt locks that cannot be opened with a key. The management claimed there was nothing they could do about any of these problems except let my daughter pay to transfer apartments. Be warned: Low-class people seem to infest this complex. Maintenance issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

I had roommate problems from drugs to loaded guns to theft. The office never once tried to help us (my friend and I). They offered to relocate us (despite having lived in that apartment a year before the people they moved in) but would charge us $200 to move.
