I lived here for about 2 years and the place steadily declined during that time. The office staff is rude and unprofessional, but I guess you should expect that from a bunch of kids who only work there for the free rent. Their on site accountant is a liar and cannot possibly be qualified to work the position. Despite what the new property manager is posting here, they don't take your safety or security seriously, at all. In fact, quite the opposite. I happen to know about a certain individual who was seriously injured on this property going on FIVE YEARS ago and that person is still being subjected to litigation and denials of responsibility! We are talking about a case where this person was crippled for life due to the negligence of the property caretakers, but has yet to be compensated for just the medical bills involved! This place is a disgrace and should be condemned. The low prices were once attractive for student living, but the recent building boom in Austin has created a completely new renting environment with many properties (in nicer parts of town) dropping their rates. They still advertise student housing, but the truth is they allow ANYONE to live here. That would include welfare recipients, thieves, illegal immigrants, drug dealers, you name it. If you are considering leasing here, DON'T, take it from people who have experience

I have never heard of someone getting 'crippled for life' at these apartments??! And five years ago, wasn't there a different management company? Someone is confused.

What a completely innappropriate response to the initial post. No one is "confused", not in the least. This incident occured in the late spring of 2005 when the managment decided to half drain the pool and not lock the area or post signs about the pool being worked on. Though there is certainly new on site management (they transfer those worthless people every six months), this place is still owned by the same corporate entity so you can go somewhere with that worthless opinion kenzgirl.
