Before I start pointing out the pros and cons let me point out that this is a COLLEGE apartments.

Before leaving home to go to the school here in Austin, I had no clue where I was going to be living. I didn't want to move into a dorm because it sucks to share ONE bedroom with another random person. I didn't want to live with my family's friends home because it's wwwaaaayyyy up North and plus... it is wwwaaayyy too awkward and I would not have as much freedom to do things (hint hint... party' stay up late' bring guys over')So I moved into Longhorn Landing. The person who had insisted upon me living here was Rebecca(not there anymore). So now, I'm still here for almost two years and will not be renewing my lease.

The Leasing people: I have to admit that yes, they're just there to get your money but hey.. that's their jobs... it's a living. Yes, they do forget about you unless you keep up with them... but when you have to worry about the other 1,000 residents- it's not a surprise that they forgot about you.

The Maitenance people: I love them. If the leasing people put your order in, they will be there immediately within a reasonable time. They only have a total of 7 maitenance workers so you have to understand to be a little patient. I will let you know that, sometimes the communication between the front office and the maitenance workers are horrible so if you happen to spot one maitenance guy, let them know of your situation because sometimes the front people don't alert them of new orders in. But overall, they are wonderful, I actually made friends with them too.

The Neighbors: 10 out 100 is the likely chance that you'll like your neighbors. I have to admit... I DID at one point liked them. They're students too... and they're in the process of "trying new things" (if you know what I mean). And yes, you get the lazy ones too that leave their trashbags outside and trash on the grounds.

The Apartments: It's okay. The paint from outside always peels off. There's always trash laying around (ex: beer bottles, broken glasses,) but it's not that bad. Swimming pool is okay. The inside is good depending on what carpets you get. And pray that you get the 2nd or 3rd level because you get a lot of random bugs and ants if you lived on the first floor.

The Roomates: Not the best matchmaking ever. I have three other roomates. My first year living here, my roomates was great! This year, they did a little slacking on the roomate matching (I don't have a HUGE problem with my roomates... just a tiny one). I guess you have to wish the best of luck on that one. I highly recommend getting a one or two bedroom.

Parking: horrible at certain nights. Highly recommend getting a covered parking spot!!! I have one so I have no problems with parking.

I am moving out as soon as this lease is over, though. My experience here isn't so bad. They pay for cable and internet. The reason I am moving out is because I am already done with the college experiences. I am ready to settle down with my bf and continue my education to become a doctor. Plus... I'm tired of the east side... it's sooo.... weird.
