Alright, this place sucks. I got stuck with the worst roommates possible, my car got broken into, my roommate's car got STOLEN, people are constantly intoxicated and pulling the fire alarm (causing the building to evacuate), I have seen knife fights, gang members, cocaine, meth, abortions (which caused the authorities to come here once again). I have had my lawn chairs and other belongings stolen off the porch. One of my roommates had her boyfriend, and THREE dogs living in her bedroom with her, causing the whole apartment to smell like ---- and urine. Her and her boyfriend have also stolen camera's and money from me and my other roommates. I can hear my other stupid --- roommate screw her boyfriend everynight, she also has vandilized some of my belongings. There is trash and graffiti in almost all outdoor walkways. The bathrooms have poor ventilation causing mildew and mold to grow (I have allergies). There are gnats and other flying insects coming out of the drains. I have even been insulted and called names by one of the office people. Almost everyone here is a sonofabitch. And, I'm not a dull --- person either. I am down with 420, and a few drinks, and good music. Most people here are completely backwards. If you are a creative, intelligent person, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE. You will not fit in, and you will be taken advantage of. I am extremely happy to be moving. HOOOORRRRAAAAYYY!!!!!! ---- LONGHORN LANDING!! DIE!!! hahaha.

I live at Longhorn Landing and apparently you just don't like the roomates that you have to live with. You have a questionaire before you move in on what type of roomate you want and if you didn't want dogs you shoul've checked off. I have not seen the crime rate as bad as what you say. so i totally disagree. My walls have no tagging on them either and I have never heard the fire alarms as of yet/

hmm. i have a sneeking suspicion that longhorn landing employees are instructed to infiltrate these public blogs, to raise the ratings of the complex. either that, or you are the kind of person that thrives in an unintelligent, uncreative, and crime ridden atomsphere. in either case, this blog was not directed at you, and therefore it wasn't neccesary for you to defend. i stick by ALL my original statements about longhorn landing, and do not recommend that anyone with standards reside there.

I'm on the same page as you as far as likes and dislikes, but couldn't you talk to someone about your roommates and move? It sounds terrible, but you also sound like you didn't do anything about it. Did you? What was the result?

Dear happynottolivehere, Just because you had a bad time doesn't mean everyone will. I don't see why you think you represent everyone. Nor do I see why you consider this place bad for intelligent or creative people. Your intelligence didn't really shine through with the misspellings in your "blog" (blogs are for blog sites not apartment ratings). I've lived here for nearly three years and I pride myself on not being a big baby and complaining about city life. This is Austin, Texas, there is crime (that includes your 420 lifestyle, pot is illegal you criminal) and rough people whether you like it or not. It is a big city. You should have done your research and realized you couldn't handle living on Riverside, it's not for little kids. Maybe if you are so creative and intelligent you could have resolved your own problem. I have a great apartment and I love my roommates because I picked them. I could go on about this, but I'm sure it would do no good for it appears you are an unhappy person that is willing to complain about anything. I actually feel sorry for you.
