Riverside = Very Bad. LL = Worse.

Please, for your own safety, stay away from Longhorn Landing. If you've already signed the lease and don't care to back out, please take the upper most precautions while living here. Lock your doors/windows, hide your car stereo, and don't walk around alone. I read these reviews before I signed the lease and I disregarded them, to my regret. Less than a week after I moved in, I was completely robbed blind. Management lied to my face and told me that robberies never happened here and they were shocked I had been robbed; the police told me that break-ins happen here multiple times a week. (Especially in buildings 10 and 13, so if you must live here don't live in those buildings). Actually, the first thing the girl at the office said to me when I told her I had been robbed (a mere hour before hand), she said, "well, you should've bought our alarm system." No apology, no sincerity, just a lie and scam to make more money.
Since then, I have tried very hard to stay away from the management here. Last week, though, management decided it was a GREAT idea to repaint the parking lines. I cannot fathom how much money must have been wasted on this. I would much rather they put cameras in the parking lots to stop the copious amounts of car break-ins, but they would rather repaint buildings and parking lines. Anyway, they ended up towing half of the resident's cars ($190 each, thank you) because their cars were in the way. The way Longhorn Landing had decided to inform us of the whole "painting parking lines" episode was to put a flier on the clip next to our door. That was it. No emails, no calls, no reminders. Just one slip of paper, and if you missed it then you ended up paying 200 bucks.
Everything management does is a ploy to be more attractive to potential residents. Trust me, as soon as you sign that lease you are nothing to them. They do not care about your safety or your happiness; just your money. They have tried to overcharge us on rent multiple times, and have tried to squeeze $100 extra out of my boyfriend every month because they claim "he doesn't pay his rent on time" or "he didn't pay enough last month."
I cannot stand this place. I am constantly looking over my shoulder and I tell everyone I know not to come here. Yes, it is Riverside and not much is to be expected, but this place is the dregs. The grounds are always littered with beer cans and cigarettes and shattered glass (from frequent car break-ins), and are rarely cleaned. The noise is insane, as well. My downstairs neighbors have a DJ come a few times a week and make the floor shake with music and screaming for a good 6 hours.
Even now that I've lived here for over 6 months, the management persists to smile fake smiles at me and act like they care. I've recently resorted to simply giving them the finger. I would suggest that you do to. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
