Look elsewhere

As an ex-tenant, I would strongly NOT recommend Longhorn Landing. I lived there a complete year, and am not a student.
Parking- there are plenty of spaces, but beware. Break ins are frequent, even though it's a gated complex (there are gates, but they are almost never functioning correctly). Also, the parking spaces themselves are mostly for compact cars, so prepare to have lots of door dings.
Noise- I would have loved Longhorn Landing if I liked rap music. All times of the day and night, my downstairs neighbor was playing it. My floors shook constantly, and I had to call the patrol on them at least 3 times a week. This did not help at all. Longhorn Landing doesn't offer more than a "please keep it down", so don't expect them to help you.
Grounds- they painted the buildings while I was there, which was appreciated. That's the only nice thing I can say about this place. The rest of it was a dump.
Safety- my neighbors (again from downstairs) were angry with me for calling the patrol on them, and frequently eyed me in the parking lot, called me names, etc. Also, I feared that my car would get broken in to. My roommate had her car broken in to and stereo stolen.
Construction- you get what you pay for, I suppose. I won't make the same mistake again. The carpet was terrible, the appliances were terrible, etc. etc.
Maintenance- they do enter your unit without prior notice sometimes, but are quick to fix things when you call.
Staff- completely incompetent. They're college students and have lives of their own, so I don't expect too much from them. The managers, however, won't take your call, and do not call you back. Make sure that when you move out, you have written evidence and pictures of the apartment's condition because they will charge you for damages you did not do.
Overall- awful. It may be great to save money, but you'll be better off paying more somewhere else.
