The Good :
-Staff is very friendly
-The complex has lots of extras like a nice pool, internet access, cable tv, fax access, weight room, pool table, air hockey, etc...
-The buildings are fairly nice looking from the outside and the landscaping is well kept up
-Covered parking is available for an extra fee
The Bad :
-This complex seems to be a haven for kids to party. Noise levels are ridiculous, especially on the weekends.
-Your vehicle is not safe in the parking lot. In my time I lived there (2006-2007) I watched several vehicle broken into...a drunk person racing through the parking lot who hit several cars on his way out....and another drunk person who crashed through the parking lot gate.
-A roommate of mine died from overdose drug use. His body wasn't found till a day after he had died. The management tried covering this up by telling the few people that were involved that it would be illegal for them to tell anyone. My guess is that they just didn't want the bad rep of something like that happening on their property.
-My neighbors door got kicked in while he wasn't home. He had guitars, computers, and recording equipment stolen.
-Another neighbor of mine was quite the character. He was awake for days straight, roaming the apartment complex in search for drugs and stolen property to sell. He had the police called on him several times and after about 3 months of living there, he just dissapeared.
-Furniture provided by the complex is pretty poor quality. It breaks easily. And when someone breaks into your apartment and steals it, you wind up paying for it (I had to pay close to $200 for 3 kitchen table chairs)
-Fire alarms are frequently pulled in the middle of the night. They stay on for close to 30 minutes until the fire department arrives and shuts them off.
-There is a pet policy but no one follows it. You may possibly be stuck with a room mate who wants to have a pit or boxer as a pet, and there is nothing you can do about it. If you notify management, they will not do anything about it.
-The complex provides night time security, but they are impossible to find anywhere on the property when you need them.If you call their dispatch to report something, it takes them over an hour to respond.
I lived here for about a year and a half. Not one day living there did I feel it was a safe neighborhood to live in. There is decent people living there, but they are overrun by the drug addicts and criminals.
I would not recommend living at Longhorn Landing.

Very similar to many of the other reviews on here. Basically if you have a problem, you're on your own. The office doesn't care about its residents, only it's future residents.
