i actually moved into this apartment the first time i moved to austin, was in college and needed a place to get me right in the middle of the austin area. i didnt know my way around. i actually, loved my first apartment here, i had a great neighbor who would look after me and my apartment was a great size [i first lived in a 1/1] the only thing that sucked was living on the 3rd floor, other than that i really didnt have any problems. i lived there when it was under another management than now, i got along with the girls great. the management was a major reason why i loved my apartment only because i got along well with them. i hate living under crappy management. oh and when i WAS in town on the weekends, the people on the first floor would have friends over and slab coolers of beer in the parking lot and listen to loud ass tejano music all night. when i graduated from college i moved out because i needed to save money and get a room mate, we were both short on money so we decided to slum and get a cheaper apartment at the Trestle of Austin. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. after a yr my room mate and i parted ways and i came back to mackenzie. when i came back management was changing and at first i was iffy about even going back because i was skeptic about the new managers...but i stayed anyway. the management actually did improve the complex to more than i would've ever thought. theres now a fitness center, business center, volleyball courts, and the swimming pools are 10X better. i didnt really get a chance to get to know the leasing office employees but when i did need something they were quite helpful. i knew most of the maintenance guys and they're always nice, especially chuck.
