All I can say, I was about to rent an apartment here. They quoted a rental amount, did not honor the original rental amount quoted (raised it for myself, but probably not for others renting the same day), and then said that renter's insurance was a requirement for renting once the application fee was in hand (This info was not on its corporate web-site or given in any written material on the 2 days I visited the property, in fact).

How is that for honesty and sincerity' I call this underhanded and deceptive. Rental rates advertised on web sites and even on Equity home pages do not appear to be honored. They then "steer" you away by throwing in extra charges when you are interested in possibly signing a lease. "Baiting and switching" worked well for many salesman throughout the ages. This place is just another one of them.
