I am a current resident at Madison at Stone Creek. Today, when I went out to my car around noon (which was not parked in any sort of tow-away, yellow-curb or red-curb area) I found a bright orange sticker on my window. It said that it was "Notice" that my car would be towed if not moved immediately. It said specifically that the notice was posted at 10am and the car would be towed today if not moved by 4pm. The reason' No up-to-date registration. Now, I'm assuming that in some sub paragraph of my mulitply addendumed lease there was probably something in there about keeping up a valid registration. That's not my issue. (I have actually got valid registration but had not removed the old sticker and applied the new one.) My issue is the sticky glue that's left on my window. I'm sure it will take the better half of an hour to remove and I'll likely have to go shopping for some glue remover. Leaving "Notice" of impending bad things in this manner is needlessly aggressive. A flyer (or ticket) under a wiper (like APD does) would have been sufficient. I mean, seriously, it seems akin to leaving a notice of late rent on your door with a dagger.
Furthermore, I'm not sure why they've decided to enforce this random clause. In my opinion it doesn't make the complex anymore desirable to live at - knowing that all residents have a valid registration on their cars. It seems to me they're just picking fights. And if I had the time to deal with this, I would file a report for vandalism with APD. So, consider this your "Notice" of impending bad things if you plan to move to Madison at Stone Creek Apts.
I'm definitely not renewing my lease. I don't need this kinda drama. I can have bad days on my own. I don't need any apt. complex's help to do bad. I would appreciate it if they spent their time trying to make my life at the complex a better experience.

The same thing happened to me. The only difference is that my car was in my PAID carport space. I told them that the reason we got the space was for storage purposes. They said that it didn't matter, even stored vehicles had to be properly registered. Of course this wasn't an issue when I added the carport to my lease, only after we had already signed the amended lease. Go figure. I openly dared--- to tow my car. I assure you that if they had, it would've cost them alot more than the towing and impound fee.
