I've lived here for 1 1/2 years now and it isn't too bad. The worst thing is probably the high rent since my husband and I signed a 6 month lease last time. (We are moving for school soon.) The gym isn't the best quality, but at least they have one. They have a decent amount of weights and a few cardio machines. Maintenance issues have always been taken care of in a timely manner. Everyone in the office has been friendly when I've gone over there. I left my key in the apartment once and my husband was gone and they made me a key right there. It is a nice complex overall, but our location kinda sucks since it's facing the road. The walls are pretty thick here so you can't hear neighbors too much. I haven't had issues with parking availability too much. I don't know why people have so many complaints. I think most of the people complaining about management are bad tenants anyway.

It’s obvious that Mrs. “gr8chick82” (self named I’m sure) appears to be in her mid 20’s (if her age follows her screen name) and is not very worldly and hasn't had any real issues (in her whole 1 ½ years living here) that would require the attention of the office – and that’s good. BUT, to say that the many others who have had problems with the management "are bad tenants anyway" is very short sighted and shows why she needs to go back to school - because she doesn't know what she's talking about and needs to learn how to research issues before making false statements. First, name-calling just isn’t right, but then to make fun of those who have had real issues is just down right wrong. Second, as a tenant of almost 10 years and I’ve seen the management has done over 20 families wrong during that time. Third, Mrs. Chick, lives in a part of the complex that doesn’t share parking with multiple buildings making parking hard to find. Fourth, she failed to mention the numerous break-ins, robberies, rapes and fires that have happened, but I’m sure she’s not aware of those because she knows NO FACTS. Fifth, she failed to mention how the apartment complex has never changed the code to the gym, so even those who don’t live here have the gym code and use it as a make out area late at night. Sixth, CJ Gipson, the manager has verbally attacked many of the tenants and if they bring up constructive criticism, to try to make the complex better, they’re told by CJ “that they don’t have to live here” and are asked “are you attacking me?” She doesn’t listen to the customers who make it possible for her to have a job. Seventh, the complex has yet to do ANY preventive maintenance to the apartments to prevent fire or damage, but instead insist that each tenant of obtain a $50K insurance policy - not to protect your property, but to pay the apartments deductible in case you or your apartment cause damage to the rest of the building. Isn’t that what they have insurance for and what you pay a huge deposit for???? Anyway, I could go on and on and on, but I think that I’ve made my point. This is the last year that we plan on living here and I suggest if you’re reading this, you should avoid this property until the management is replaced and CJ Gipson is no longer at this location.

I agree with fair_and_just, I lived at Madison at Stone Creek for one year after moving here from Houston and CJ is all of the bad things people are saying and then some. I am white and my kids are biracial, I never got a complaint until my new and black boyfriend started coming over. Then somehow, I was the worst tenant ever. My upstairs and downstairs neighbors were good friends with each other and obvisiously racist. CJ encouraged this behavior by slamming me with multiple notices and violations, disturbances which couldn't have taken place because I wasn't even home at the time. She wouldn't even listen to me so I wrote equity, TAA etc. about her discriminatory behavior. In the end I moved out and was hit with a $1,000 bill for everything from imaginary trash left behind to new carpet. I moved out in 2005 and have been at my new apartment since, what do you know NO COMPLAINTS, I love my current neighbors and we are all a wonderful community (Laurel Woods), white, black, hispanic and asian. My current apartment is older and not as upgraded as Madison, but I wouldn't trade peace of mind for a ignorant manager like CJ any day.
