Nice Apt, Poor Service

Nice apartment. Poor service. Unbeknownst to me, I moved into an apt with a non-functional phone line. I called AT&T to set up the phone and internet but they found the problem and said I needed to have Maintenance at the complex fix it. Left a message for Maintenance on Tuesday. No action or call to me saying 'Hey, we're working on it' on Tuesday. Or Wednesday. On Thursday I called the apt office and was told 'The Manager is working on it and will call you by noon tomorrow.' No call by 1:30 on Friday so I call again. The Manager told me that I needed to have AT&T do it as the Apt Maintenance Dept didn't have the expertise. Great. I don't mind that I have to be the go-between but holy crap give me a call on Tuesday and TELL ME THAT!!!!! Not only did I move into an apt with no working phone connection but I am now waiting extra days for phone and internet thanks to poor service.
Maybe I'm an exception to the rule. Let's hope so.
