Don't live here! I regret it.

Okay, here is an update to my last post. It's now been about two and half months since I moved in and I definitely do not feel the same way! While the staff did replace my AC unit they only replaced one half of the unit which lead me to have an apartment that was above 90 degrees for most of my stay. What's worse is that after a number of complaints, emails and even after talking with the corporate office, they did not replace the other half of the AC. It wasn't until I mentioned that I was working with a local tenant advocacy group that they actually did anything that produced a real result. They kept saying the heat was due to the unit being on the 2nd floor. I asked my neighbor, also on the 2nd floor, how his apartment was and he said his AC kept his apartment at around 70 degrees all the time. I kept asking them to move me to another unit or put me up in a hotel until the problem was fixed but they refused. Again, it wasn't until I mentioned the tenant advocacy group I was working with that they "offered" to put me in a hotel. By that time I had already missed work because I couldn't sleep in the heat and because my blood pressure was so high because of the heat. The local management staff seemed nice but for some reason wasn't able to produce real results until it was already too late. Now the office staff treats my wife and I with attitudes. Why' Because I complained that my AC didn't work. Now, once again the management/ownership has changed and yet another company has taken over. My revised opinion is that this is not where you want to be if you are looking for a steady, peaceful place to live. I deeply regret moving here but am stuck because I was not able to find another apartment and move in the time allowed (inside of 30 days from my move in). Don't live here! 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

Welcome. I've been here a year and just love it. I think your concerns about safety will disappear in time.
