Unsafe because of management

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2006
I lived here for almost 3 years and am in a much better apartment now (different state).
The apartment was spacious and my neighbors were quiet. I avoided the parking problems by renting a garage.
Management was politely arrogant - which was tolerable until I had a maintenance problem. An electrical short caused heat to pour out into my bathroom - not a fire hazard but not a situation I was comfortable living with. I'm sure it increased my electric bill in hot weather.
It was an intermittant problem so they denied it's existance. I found the problem myself - with help from expert friends. A friendly maintenance person said it was a common problem, but management still stood by the opinion from their consultant - it was impossible - and refused to do anything.
