Not the best, far from the worst

Moved here in April to a 1 br. When I came to look at places they showed me a unit that overlooked the parking lot. I asked them for another unit & they showed me another that looked out on a green area with a view of the pool. Actually they didn't "show" me the unit; they pointed to where it was located & told me it "wasn't ready yet". It took them what seemed like forever to approve me. When they finally approved me I moved in to a unit that had been very haphazardly fixed up & painted. Evidently when they painted the unit was sprayed & there was extra paint residue everywhere. One of the reasons I chose this development was that I enjoy cooking & this was one of the newest developments that offered gas cooking. Although the appliances are GE (usually a good quality brand)the appliances here are junk. The oven seemingly has no temperature control, unless I watch what I'm roasting or baking very carefully it will burn, as the oven seems to run VERY hot. Also the surfaces of the stove get FAR hotter than ANY other gas stove I've used, even old cheap ones. The refrigerator is small & is probably fine for someone that buys frozen meals & microwaves them but barely holds a weeks worth of "real" groceries. The counter top surfaces in the kitchen & bathroom are laminate & all of them have de laminated from the substrate material so they are all loose. Inquiries to management about fixing or replacing them have met with stony silence. The dishwasher is incredibly noisy to the point it has to be run when I'm out of the apartment on errands or at work. The property is managed by a company called Northland, based in Boston. The management team consists of 3 women. 2 of them are ------- & can only be described as ------------, very snotty & aloof. The third is probably in her ----- ----------------------- & is sweet but is a ditz. She has a --------------------------- that can only come from a ------, but at least she's nice, unlike the other 2. Security has been an issue; until very recently the pool area could be accessed by anyone walking in from the street. There has been a problem with people from outside the development "invading" the pool area & taking over for huge family barbecues & drunken parties that have gone late into the night. Once people have gotten through these gates it is very easy to access any of the buildings in the development, not a secure situation. To their credit, management has recently installed locking gates for the pool area & this has had an immediate effect on eliminating outside invasions. The remote operated gates for the property, which have been open during the day, are now shut all the time, again greatly increasing security. There is an ongoing problem with the water supply for the development; the water has a distinct moldy odor from any tap, including the washer. There have also been severe mold issues with several units. Again, management claims to be addressing these issues in a recent flyer sent out to all the residents. Again, not the best but far from the worst and management does seem to be at least attempting to address some of the issues.
