I have lived at the Madrid Apt for one year and think it is one of the best deals in Austin. The Madrid is quiet and the apartments, all with gas stoves, are well built. The complex is a small walk from South Congress where you can find great shops, cafe's, and the famous Guero's mexican restaurant. The manager, Phil, has been a god-send. He is professional, kind, and willing to address any problems you might have. Although rare, in instances when there was a problem he took care of it right away. I am moving into a house but will miss the Madrid community, some people have lived there for over 10 years, and Phil.
