complex is nice enough, but management is atrocious

Where do I start' I have so many complaints about this place, and they basically all regard the horrible treatment of my roommate and myself by the Chelsea Regent staff. They lied to us about a great many things, and the second we signed the lease, all concern for us vanished; when you visit to look at the apartments, they present this great facade about how great a "community" (they stress that term) this is, the togetherness, etc. Well, it turns out that this is just a great ploy to get the lease. I don't have time to go through all my grievances so I will offer a simple instance that really exemplifies their attitude.
I have lived here for 11 months and have always paid rent in full (my roommate and I have paid about $9,000 total in rent). Today I got a scathing letter from management that I had a balance of $4.82 (yes, under five bucks!!). In this letter they accused me of continually ignoring their notices (of which there have been NONE) and threatening eviction!! haha, I wish they would evict me. Anyway, this is particularly ironic because I have sent them letters that THEY have not responded to. Anyway, it strikes me as odd that they would treat a tenant in good standing so poorly.
They are very unreasonable and stubborn in all respects. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and frustration. Live elsewhere. For students I would suggest the Far West area.
