Not as bad as everyone says...not great either.

I read the reviews on here AFTER I'd signed my lease and before I moved in so it was with a little trepidation that I began my stay. The management they had in the office turned out to be god awful (there was an obnoxious girl named Julie in leasing, and the general manager Renee was about as dumb and incompetent as they come). The good news was Julie left shortly after and about a month into my stay Renee either quit too, or was more likely fired. So the owners of the property seem to be on the ball. The new management isn't going to win and customer satisfaction awards but they are a darn sight better than the previous ones. So I guess management and leasing agents do come and go a lot around here.

I like my apartment though, and I feel like I'm getting a pretty good deal for my money's worth. Everything was brand new in the unit and works well. It's usually pretty quiet, despite a few people with small children moving in recently. The tenants when I moved in were mainly low key UT students which I liked but recently there have been a few less desirable types. They loiter around and bum cigarettes but it's more of annoyance than any sort of real problem.

The thing with the water is pretty bad. Heck, it's actually turned off as I write this. I've been here less than four months and it's been off probably two to three times a month every month. They do it during the middle of the day though so it's not the end of the world. I just wish they would finally get it fixed, the water in our bathroom is scalding hot at night. Even the water in the toilet is hot!

The last thing is the dogs. Lots of people with big dogs live here. I am one of them. The dogs don't bark much so it's not a pain in that way. It's their lazy owners who refuse to pick up their poop. It's gotten really bad lately. I don't enjoy curbing my dog either but it has to be done or everyone is going to step in it and the grounds are going to smell like a kennel. Management needs to enforce this better.
