Not a bad place to live, if you can afford it

The apartments here are pretty old and some stuff needs to be updated. No dishwasher, garbage disposal nor laundry on premises. Crime here is kinda bad, especially during the summer, too many homeless wander down these streets to feel safe around here, but it's close to campus so you get what you pay for. $800 a month for rent without utilities is way too high for these tiny places. Each month their utilities were around $60, and since it's shared, you rarely see it go lower. Management is super slow and unresponsive, but the guys who work for Ranier Management doing maintenance were pretty nice guys. Parking here is alright, there are enough spaces, but when construction rolls around, they'll make you park on the streets if you can't find an open one. Surprisingly, the places are insulated alright, and electric bills weren't too high. The walls aren't too thin, but if your neighbor has a party, be ready to join it, or forego some sleep.

The deposit however, is ridiculous, $350 and $175 of that is 'non refundable' due to processing fees or other nonsense they throw at you to get more money. The landscaping REALLY needs to be taken care of, the oaks in the front are dying due to the lack of care, and the aqua blue/grey paint isn't too tasteful for this area.

When you're a student and have to find something close to campus, these apartments are fine, sure you're going to be ripped off for rent and so forth, but what do you expect' Most of the renters are students, and the places stay pretty quiet. Overall, I was fine with living here, but I wouldn't recommend more than a year here, there are better places for less money, you just have to be willing to look. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
