The best thing about the Marquis at Ladera Vista is how open and light the apartments are. The fitness center isn't huge, but it has a wide variety of machines and equipment, and it's never crowded. The office staff is friendly. The maintenance people are great - if you have a problem, they come right away to take care of it. Parking can sometimes be a problem if you come in past 8 on a weekday, but it depends. Another nice thing about this apartment complex is the location - this area of Austin has just about everything you need very nearby (except for Wal-mart and a good library). If you have to get down to the south part of town, just hop on 183 and take your pick of highways. Also, for active people, it's right next to a biking trail, and there is a residential area on Ladera Vista Drive that's great for running. You can also have pets here for a small, half-refundable deposit and we've seen many people walking dogs.
