I was lied to as well.

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
When we moved in, we received lots of perks (which I appreciate); however, the staff lied to us about several aspects. We were told that our free month's rent could be pro-rated out for the entire year. Not true. We were told that buying the homebuyers clause would relieve us of having to pay back the perks if we broke our lease to buy a house. Not true, but to their credit, the staff amended the clause. We were also told that the floors were separated by several feet of concrete. Impossible. We can hear out downstairs neighbors baby crying and the entire floor often vibrates up and down. Also, we can smell our next door neighbor's cigarette smoke in our bathroom (it seeps in from their bathroom on the other side of the wall).
Parking is a problem. Any time we come home after about 7 pm either on weekdays or weekends, all of the places in front of our apartment are full.
We have enjoyed living here, despite all of the complaints. Maintenance is quick and helpful, the grounds are pretty, and the apartment is very spacious with great storage. We love the drawers in the kitchen and bathroom. We haven't had many noise issues except for a group of idiots who decided to play water volleyball in the pool until 11 pm everynight for a few weeks this summer. That was eventually dealt with.
