I have lived in many apartments in and out of Austin, and I can honestly say, if you're looking for a quiet, private place to live that's still relatively close to downtown, the Marquis is the best apartment I've seen. We relocated here from Ohio and had to transition from owning our own home to living in an apartment. Marquis has made the transition much easier. I feel like we live in a townhome, not an apartment. I never hear anyone else, and I rarely see anyone. The apartment layout is great, too. We were skeptical about moving from a 2500 sq. ft house to a <800 sq. foot apartment, but it really hasn't been a big deal. The space feels very open. I love the location, too. It feels like we come home to a resort every night. The staff has been exceptionally courteous and helpful. And so far, maintenance has been prompt and thorough. As for the cat situation mentioned below, I've only seen one cat since we've been there...and he was probably 100 yards away from me.

I agree with the review that the Marquis at Barton creek is the best place to live.And they do feel like TOWNHOMES rather then APARTMENTS! And the staff has been exceptionally courteous and helpful.And the Maintenace staff are very courteous and prompt as well.My husband and I have live here for 8 months and there is no other place we rather live then hear.OF All the places we lived this is the best THIS IS HOME!
