Nice Pool area, poor management and cheap construction

I lived at GHV for a few years (recently moved)and went through many management staffs. Not entirely sure why the staff turns over as often as it does. Initially the management was great, improvements to the facility were made regularly. The last two teams however have been utterly rude and unreachable. Typically the office is closed early (10-15 minutes may not seem much, but when you work for a living, scheduling can be complicated).

The gate stays broken for far too long over the last year.

The last review spoke of the breakfast at the gate. This is something that occurs infrequently and is obviously passed down from corporate because it hits the templated community flyer and becomes an obligation for management.

The apartment complex over all had the Arboretum look, but were manufactured as cheaply as possible. In all, it became more overpriced than I cared to deal with any longer.

Parking is ridiculous. If you live on the Southern end, you have a multitude of options including covered parking. The north end however is impossible. More apts. than spaces and because of this they have reduced the size of the spaces to squeeze an extra couple into each row. Renting a garage may put you on a waiting list, but tough it out, its worth it.

The worst thing however is if you live in a second or first floor, you hear every tiny footstep from above. (Know this from several neighbors from below and I'm a light stepper). I was on the thrid floor and had one neighbor below with a dog that would run circles in the house. It felt as if we were in an earth quake.

Redeming quality, it's a dog friendly place. Most neighbors are considerate about the clean up, some unfortunately are not..

Be wary before you hand over your $$$. Rent or buy a house, less corporate bs.
