During my residence at Martha's Vineyard, there were a number of burglaries, an attempted murder, a parking lot mugging that included a gun and my friend s car was vandalized. These are just the things I know of I am sure there are many others.

The apartments lack maintenance. Twice when I requested maintenance my door was left unlocked for the duration of the day by the maintenance personal. No quailty checks are made to ensure maintenance is complete. You will have to call many times to get simple maintenance completed.

The rents were raised when the new owners painted the outside of the complex. These units at 20 years old and the interiors are poor and have never been refurbished. 1980's light fixtures, deteriorating bath fixtures, and so many patches in the sheetrock it is amazing that it just doesn't crumble down.

Then there's the manager, Penny. If you disagree with Penny you can be assured that your lease won't be renewed. This happened to me. Fortunately I called her boss who overruled Penny. I know personally others lost there lease for little more that I asking for general maintenance.

It is so sad to read these reviews....I lived at this complex in the late 90's and it was a great place. It was decent and the place had pretty affluent residents and the rent for a one-bedroom apmt. there was a $650 and up (great economy, then). Neighbours were friendly and courteous, and on hot summer days we'd cool off at the pool with some drinks and volleball. I moved out shortly after AMLI sold the property to Flagship...I wonder if that's when the downward spiral started. This place doesn't sound at all like the place I remember. Maybe it's best that I left when I did.
