As a former employee I am disgusted with the way they treated not only me but my wife. I was given and paid up until the 15th of the month and on the 10th they drilled out my lock, rummaged through my belongings and helped themselves to whatever they wanted to take. It was'nt until we threatened to call the cops until my stuff started magically appearing out of the grounskeepers truck. He said he was just protecting it. The manager repeatedly hung up on my PREGNANT wife and the asst. manager (also a resident) got into a yelling match along with the manager as they ganged up on an innocent pregnant woman. When I worked here we had SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH RATS inside peoples apartments and the structural integrity of the building in phase 1 is questionable. Also after paying my final move out fees of the first unit I lived in they tried to charge me again 1 year later after I quit. This company does not care about family or anything else for that matter. It is entirely about money. The leasing staff is manipulative and will try to sweet talk residents into moving in knowing that the foundation shifting has caused doors to be stuck, not open or close and huge cracks all along the walls. You can put make up on a pig but it's still a pig. Not to mention I am a former veteran of a foreign war and was still chewed up and spit out. The only good thing I will say is that the maintenance is good but works with very little money. The office staff enjoys their fat bonuses while residents go weeks on end with out the money for any of their parts. DO NOT WORK OR LIVE HERE BY ANY MEANS NECCESSARY. I ONCE HAD TO REPAIR 5 DOORS IN BROAD DAY LIGHT BECAUSE THEY WERE BROKEN INTO... In all honesty I am disgruntled and disheartened that they would treat a veteran in such a way.. I fought for our country and this is how I was repayed as an employee as well. The corporate is nice but this property and most of their sister properties are really going down hill.

This man speaks the truth. Stay away from Mission Hells. Anything "good" written about this property is written by the office staff to dress it up as a nice place to live. Glad one of the previous employees is laying out the truth.

I want out of here. I hate it here. Maintenance takes forever, and the leasing staff sugar-coats everything. I feel like I was conned into moving here. I'm glad to be leaving soon.

I was a former resident and Omg! I had rats too!!! They did nothing about it for three months until I sued them! I advise anyone who is having problems getting out of their lease or believe their tenant rights are being violated to contact the Austin Tenant Council. Or go to their website at www.housing-rights.org/ It's free and they are very knowledgeable and provide lawyers if needed. Or you can look up housing laws on the Texas Apartment Association website. Also try calling the local news stations- Mission Hills is quick to respond to negative publicity. Don't be afraid to review your lease and recognize the apartment complex is required by Texas law to uphold the requirements of the lease agreement. Best of luck!!

I couldnt AGREE with u all even more, i am currently a resident of a year here and i wish it was moving time already! i do NOT recommend living here @ all! The outsie of the property is mainly because of the "appearance" but, there is severall people here that do NOT pick-up the "dumpings" of their pets, its very disgusting you cannot walk through the grass without noticing this, since ive been here they have sent out only 1 reminder on that. Another issue is that it took them OVER A MONTH to fix my thermostat when there were plenty other vacant apts, to get the part from, The OFFICE ASSIST. was no help i s
poke with her a few times all she said was IM SORRY, after informing her my elec. bill was over 4hundred $, because the thermostat would only turn on @ 65 degrees, the maintenance are friendly, also the parking on the smaller part of the property absolutely SUX i cannot believe they have an ok parking rating because its NOT u practically have to try n make it home early, or you have to park by the office these are all the reasons i listed why i will NOT be renewing my lease here, this is just a place you will NOT be comfortable @ and the rats i had NO problem with, but i ADMIT i have seen rat traps on the outside of some apts here, the OFFICE women are RUDE.only sweet to get u in here.
