I agree with everyone who says to be prepared when they move out. I signed an 18 month lease happily, and when I prepared to move out, I was treated very poorly. I received at least one phone call at work and three to my home number asking when I would be moving out because other people were interested in my apartment. And come to find out, when I move out, I got totally screwed on the so called "cash back" deal. I signed it over to be put towards my pet deposit, and it never was. Shocking, considering they can't keep a staff member in that office who knows anything about anything. I had a credit on my account, and didn't even know until my final statement, and come to find out then, that because *I* didn't put anything in writing about the pet deposit (except my lease) I lost the $575 completely. I called several times to complain and demand that I be credited the amount I was owed, and the best they said they could do was to zero out the balance *I* owed *them*. Bottom line, don't even bother looking at these apartments. They are horrible, they are ridden with bugs, the neighbors are always loud and getting to be closer and closer to white trash because of lease incentives. My apartment wasn't worth $700 a month, and I wish I had known that before moving in. I would have saved myself a huge headache upon moving out.
