The Mansions at Canyon Creek is a member of the Austin Apartment Association, Texas Apartment Association, and the National Apartment Association. It has been our experience that very often negative comments posted on this website are by residents who have been evicted for non-payment of rent or other lease violations or who have never actually lived on the property. Be cautious in assuming the truthfulness of postings by anonymous persons who refuse to disclose their identity. We recommend that visiting with current residents onsite is a more reliable method of obtaining third party opinions about our community and its management.

My negativity has nothing to do with either. It has to do with the lack of respect this property has for good tenants. All of theirs rules are bent to make money for them. I have lived in apartments for 12yrs. and have never had to pay to move out.

My name is Patricia Wieczorek. I was not evicted , nor EVER late with the rent check, nor did I EVER voilate a lease agreement. I left because the management at the Mansions said I RUINED a one year old carpet after living in the appt for one year. And I RUINED the walls to the point they had to be completely repainted. Ruined to the tune of $2500.00 . I'm a 44 year single women who works 50-60 hrs a week, use the apartment cleaning service at least twice a month. After moving out of that apartment, I moved into a one bedroom apartment, also at the Mansions and within six month I receive a notice stuck in my door for the money I owed for damages in the other apartment . Didn't get the letter certified mail , got it stuck in the door by the maintenace guys , very professional. When I ask to see the " RUINED" carpet they said it had been thrown away. When I asked for proof of the "RUINED" wall; ie photographs. They had none. They say hanging pictures on the wall, using small brad type nails ruins the walls, thus having to repaint the entire inside surface areas. Oh yeah , and one more thing. I left my shoes in the garage everytime I entered that apartment. So, if that carpet WAS ruined it was done by a pair of socks. With all the negitives on here about the Mansions ... According to the Mansions Management all these people were evicted huh or didn't pay rent ... Sure.
Would love to say more, email me at: patricia.wieczorek@co.travis.tx.us

I can't believe they make people pay to repaint walls and carpets. It's always been an owner's responsibility to pay for painting and carpets in rentals, unless damage is extensive, and that's what the DEPOSIT is for. Sheesh. This place sounds like a real rip-off.
