very comfortable, but not enough value

Overall, I like living here, but do grit my teeth a bit writing that monthly rent check. At about $1.50/sqft vs. only $1.00/sqft in the rest of town, the high price does keep out some riffraff, but it's not a great value.
My floor plan, high ceilings and direct garage access are all good, but the building layout makes moving very, very difficult. There are lots of extra steps where there could have been ramps, and the garage is too small for large trucks. (Hire professionals with lots of equipment.) The spaces in the garage are too narrow; my neighbors often take two or more spaces per vehicle.
The construction is overall pretty solid, and I seldom hear my neighbors. My shower's water pressure has always been low, and it wound up leaking into the master bedroom, apparently a common problem in this complex. The repairs were estimated to take less than a week, but I was walking around that bathroom and contractors for about 3.5 weeks. (The maintenance staff is otherwise excellent.) At least the office staff conceded some rent for that one.
I've never been able to get even half the mail sent to me here, but that might be more a problem with the post office, where I rent a box.
